1. Encourage a greater level of physical activity
2. Encourage healthy eating which is enjoyable and easy
3. Encourage lifestyle changes where necessary

Things you could try:
Get involved in activities with them, including cycling, football and etc. Stay active yourself in order to set an example, and invite them to join in. Encourage family activities rather than only kids fitness activities.

Introduce your kids to as many different activities as possible in order to provide an interesting variety. Try using reverse psychology by asking them to help you get fit. You could for example play on the fact that you lack self discipline and that you’d appreciate a helping hand from them. Encourage healthy eating which is enjoyable and easy It’s essential that you don’t place too much emphasis on the weight of your kids, should they be overweight. In other words; be subtle about it and make sure you provide plenty of foods which are easy to eat, but at the same time, they need to be enjoyable as well.
