With the exception of gene defective ones, such as Sickle Cell Anemia (bleeders), inflammation is the cause for all diseases. Cancer, heart disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, Crohn’s, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s are the major ones most people are familiar with. Free radical damage causes oxidative damage which translates into inflammation and cellular damage at the DNA level.
“We know that a large majority of degenerative diseases are limited to free radical damage.” James Balch, M.D. In 1954 Dr. Denham Harmon said this: “A single common process, modifiable by genetic and environmental variables, was responsible for ageing and death of all living things.” This is more true today because of the increased assaults on your body and its genetic code. Disease is produced by inflammation and damaged DNA.
Our modern society has produced a plethora of toxic chemicals and substances that attack the mitochondria and the DNA of every cell in your body, often warning the genetic code, causing aging and pre-mature death. DNA strands are broken, but a healthy body can fight against this onslaught .
The microscopic slide study of cancer cells reveals bizarre, inconsistent, irregular, uncontrollable, tumor cells. Most of the time, they are so changed in their appearance, they are nearly unidentifiable from the original, normal cell. The DNA code is changed and a different cell is produced.
Nearly everyone knows the term “carcinogen” is associated with cancer. A carcinogen is a chemical substance that can cause alteration of healthy cells and turns them into cancer cells. In other words, the mitochondria and genetic code of the cells get “screwed up”. This spawns a unsuitable, rogue cancer cell. If enough of these cancer cells proliferate and multiply, tumors develop. Anti-oxidants help prevent this because they inhibit DNA breakdown.
There is a limit to what the body can handle in detrimental foreign substances. On a daily basis your body takes in toxins in the form of air, water, food and absorbable foreign substances.
Your body handles toxins each day, eliminating chemicals and foreign substances. Unfortunately our modern environment sometimes overwhelms your body with huge amounts of a substance that is carcinogenic…cancer causing.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) tells us, as U.S. residents, we are exposed to 80,000 toxic chemicals. These foreign substances include, but are not limited to herbicides, pesticides ( four billion lbs. in the United States Of America each year), mercury, cadmium, aluminum, lead, solvents, asbestos, preservatives, trans fats, prescription drugs, cleaning agents, inhaled smoke and auto exhausts, cosmetics, ammonia, artificial food products and numerous biochemical pollutants.
These products cause inflammation and sometimes even genetic aberrations that produce cancer and other diseases. When your body is overwhelmed, then disease and dysfunction prevail. Ultimately life and longevity are compromised. You lose health and life expectancy.
Your heart can wear out in spite of the fact that half of its cells can be replaced in a lifetime. When toxic chemicals break the DNA strands of heart cells, the new cells generated are already weak. Weak cells produce a weak and failing heart.
